I have noticed something over the past couple of months. When the moon is waxing to full, attitudes flair in the house. Everyone becomes testy and snappy with each other, particularly the older three. Now that I have noticed this, I am going to see if I can make things run smoother next month.
Has any one else noticed this too?

I am thankful for my 15 year old daughter. She has been dealing with the a bunch of allergy and asthma issues so was home most of last week. Since I have three 2 years olds, trying to get decluttering projects done around the house can be a challenge at the least and impossible most of the time.
I have been wanting to get the upstairs hall closet done for about 3 weeks. It has been “rearranged” various little and not so little hands during the course of the winter. Mandy took it upon herself to get it done.
She also took it upon herself to clean out the Fibber Magee kitchen cabinet. So now that is functional and I can find things in there.
The basement bathroom needed to be scrubbed top to bottom. She did that too. And finally she scrubbed the hall bathroom upstairs.
So all the little things (and not so little things) that needed to happen off of the main floor were accomplished thanks to her.
Time to post your small successes for the week. All the small successes add up large successes over time. Progress not perfection is the goal in my life at this time.
1. I finally got the buffet completed. That thing is my nemesis. A large, long, flat surface that screams “Fill me up! Please!” Right now it is mostly clean. I am in the process of starting a new filing system to see if I can keep the clutter on it down to a minimum.
2. I had 2 of my children make the honor roll. Go Girls! And 3 that usually did, learned some hard lessons with time management and responsibility. I figure that next quarter there will be more on the honor roll or back on the honor roll I should say.
3. Once HUGE success that I just realized is the landing on our stairs has stayed cleaned for 2 months. We did some rearranging with items, moved out of season coats to the garage in a new portable closed. We also moved bookbags into a laundry basket in the garage. So the landing has remained neat and tidy, which makes it safe for everyone to go up and down them.
